What to expect of this course?
The operation theatre and Anesthesia technician is basically responsible for direct and indirect patient care in the operation theatre, equipment set up and operation procedures. The program offers an opportunity to observe the intricate details of surgeries, learn about medical and anesthetic gases, modern operation theatres and aircurtains, sterilization procedures. A knowledge is given on various anesthetic procedures, drugs and patient monitoring. A basic of anatomy and physiology will also be covered to aid in better understanding of the subject.
Course of study : 3 years with one year compulsory rotatory internship.

Medical advancements have tremendously grown in the past few decades and major advancements are in the field of radiological investigations. For the physician to accurately interpret the images, technician with adequate knowledge about proper exposure, positioning and technique are the adequate prerequisite. Also with the advancements in the investigative modalities there is also wide variety of diagnostic modalities like computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, fluoroscopy, mammography etc are present that require technicians with adequate knowledge of these equipments. This knowledge and expertise makes a radiology technician indispensable in a hospital. Also from a very small hospital to bigger corporate hospitals there is always a requirement of radiology technicians and hence job opportunities are plenty. Some hospitals, do lot of intervention procedures which require lot of input from the technicians which makes this job challenging and interesting.
What to expect of this course?
B.Sc Radiology and imaging technology gives the opportunity to the students to gain expertise in all the said diagnostic modalities. In addition to this students are also given adequate knowledge about the radiation exposure, how to protect themselves, staffs and the patients from excessive radiation. They are also trained in the technical details of the imaging modalities. There is both theory and practical classes on physiology, anatomy, radiation physics, patient care procedures, radiation protection and medical ethics.

With the increasing incidence of emergencies like trauma, myocardial infarction and the recent pandemic situations, there is a growing need of critical units in all places. The frontline of such critical care units is always the trained professionals. They appraise the type of emergency, the condition of the patients and even give the basic life support measures before shifting to the hospitals. Even in the critical care units, they are the front runners when there is a need to stabilize or resuscitate critically ill patients. The job may also require them doing or assisting in complicated airway intubation techniques, putting central lines and catheters. It requires a lot of skill and dedication but it is only the fortunate few who in this course can really save people from death. The opportunity to save a life is really a heart warming experience and this course offers the advantage to do that in real life.
What to expect of this course?
The students will be trained in critical care management of patients, on basic and advanced life support techniques, trauma management and other emergencies like burns, myocardial infarction etc. in addition training will also be given in handling of complex equipments like defibrillators, ventilators etc. A basic of anatomy and physiology will be covered to aid in better understanding of the subject. The students will be exposed to pediatric, medical and surgical intensive care units apart from pulmonary units.

Emergency Medical Technicians are the health care professionals who possess knowledge and skills to provide expert care in terms of emergency situations. The job opportunities of this course are huge all over the world as emergency medical technicians in ambulance, intensive care unit or casualty department in hospitals. Now with the advent of emergency ambulance service in India, the scope of this course has phenomenally increased. It is also very satisfying job as acute care of patients with life threatening conditions when stabilized properly by emergency technicians can be life saving and there are studies that prove that the outcome of acute emergencies is dependent on the care received in the initial hour which is dependent on the emergency technician.
What to expect of this course?
Students will be able to afford safe treatment for all age group of patients by taking necessary decisions in the emergency situations. They will be given adequate knowledge in the use of equipment and drugs in emergency care. They will also have training in basics of life support, trauma care management, burns and medical emergencies. Basic knowledge on anatomy, physiology, pathology and microbiology will be imparted to them in order to have a strong foundation to manage the emergency situations.

Today, we have moved to the era of point of care testing where most of the diseases can be diagnosed on the bedside of the patients due to the expertise of the medical lab technologists. Rapid advancements are being made in the field of lab technology which makes the field challenging and interesting as well as opening up a wide range of job opportunities apart from the hospital industry alone. Medical lab technologists are trained in a wide array of fields such as blood banking, clinical biochemistry, immunology, hematology , microbiology and serology. They also need to be highly skilled in phlebotomy. They have opportunities in research areas where their expertise is needed to report accuracy and to conduct complex tests.
What to expect of this course?
Training in the hospital laboratory atmosphere with subjects covering basics of biochemistry, pathology and hematology apart from physiology and anatomy. Exposure will also be given to perform routine testing under stipulated conditions, to prepare specimens, operating the machineries, setting up of testing equipments, maintaining the lab and inventory management. Knowledge about standardization techniques, sending for quality checks as well as patient ethics will also be taught.

Approximately 800 per million are affected and out of which 150 -200 require end stage renal disease care which includes dialysis. With more than 2500 dialysis stations, 180 transplant centers and many multispeciality hospitals in India, the need for effective dialysis technicians to manage these patients is on the rise. With appropriate knowledge and skill in handling dialysis procedures you have a wide opportunity to make a change in somebody’s lives. This course also is in heavy demand in other countries due the increase in incidence of chronic disease and the need for dedicated people.
What to expect of this course?
As dialysis technician you become skilled in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. You will be trained in preparation of dialysis fluids, maintenance and storage of dialysis equipment. You will also be trained in setting up of dialysis machine, recording vital body statistics and monitoring the patient. Other than technical training you will also get trained in human anatomy and physiology, renal disease and other relevant diseases are also covered.
